About Legacy Equine
Meet The Owner
My name is Monique Regier, founder of Legacy Equine Bodyworks. Horses have shaped my life for as long as I can remember, and every chapter of my journey has prepared me to serve them better. Raised in a hardworking agricultural family in Ontario, I learned early that animals depend on us completely, and that responsibility is a privilege. From years spent working on dairy and poultry farms to hands-on experience at a Thoroughbred operation and on the chuckwagon circuit with the World Professional Chuckwagon Association, I have seen firsthand the physical demands placed on equine athletes. Those experiences taught me to read subtle changes in posture, movement, and behavior, and they instilled in me a deep respect for the resilience - and vulnerability - of the equine body.
My background in competitive sport, agricultural training, and Animal Science studies has given me a performance-driven mindset rooted in discipline, teamwork, and long-term development. Now I am a graduate from Olds College - Equine Massage Therapy Certification, with future plans to expand into farrier studies and equine dentistry. I approach each horse with the understanding that soundness, recovery, and longevity are built through intentional care. Whether working with high-level competitors or beloved companions, my focus is simple: help horses move freely, recover fully, and perform comfortably so they can live longer, healthier working lives. Legacy Equine Bodyworks exists because I believe horses give us their whole hearts and bodies - and they deserve support that honours their commitment every single day.
